Monotype in Mazatlan with Glen Rogers
Glen Rogers teaches Monotype Workshops in the heart of Centro Historico. If you are looking for an avenue to explore your creativity - monotype is a magical art process and allows for one's creativity to flow in unexpected directions. For artists, this is an opportunity to create a new body of work in a professional studio.
Often called the "painterly print," a monotype is a one-of-a-kind print created by painting on an acrylic or metal plate and then transferring the image to paper. Glen guides you through the process, bringing out the best from beginner to advanced.
The Studio, situated in a renovated turn of the century home, has 1150 sq ft of work space. Light and airy with 15 foot ceilings, it is air-conditioned in the summer. The studio is professionally equipped with a Griffin series 3 etching press. Centrally located, the studio is close to the beach, outdoor cafes, and shopping.
